22 Nifty Christmas Gift Ideas For Her (All Under £40)

I'm probably right in thinking that by now, you're sick of gift guides spamming your inbox/social media feed/whatevs and would rather stick rusty pins in your eye than read yet ANOTHER one.

Still, I couldn't resist adding my two cents (or pennies) in because there's a lot of super lovely, super affordable gifts just waiting to be snatched up and appreciated the hell out of this Christmas. Hopefully I've included a few things you may not have thought of or seen everyone else rave about.

Also, it's the last payday before Christmas for a lot of us, so now is the time to hit the high-street or y'know, seek out those last few gifts from the comfort of your ass groove on the couch.

Kirsty's top 5 picks

When I'm buying someone a gift, I like to think that I'm getting them something that a) they will get use out of and b) they wouldn't splash out on for themselves - especially if they're on a budget.

Well, when you live in the UK, an umbrella is just about the most practical present you could receive. This adorable polka dot offering would be a hit with dog lovers I'm sure. It's a slim design too, so perfect to pop into any handbag.

I'm yet to meet a person who doesn't like a good ol' pair of Chuck Taylors.

A nice classic pair of black (or white) Converse would be a welcome addition to any wardrobe. They go with absolutely everything; jumper and jeans, shorts and t-shirts, even a casual midi dress.

A Christmas gift guide cliche, a good ol' pair of jammies. To not include them in one of these things would be a sin.

Boux Avenue do the BEST PJs, seriously. They are such amazing qualityI'm actually wearing a pair right now that I received as an Xmas present 2 years ago. And nope, they've not gone bobbly or saggy in the slightest.

Checks are always a firm fave in Winter so this pair of brushed cotton pyjamas would make an ideal Christmas present for any gal that likes slobbing, sorry, 'lounging' around in comfort.

Too Faced 'twice the drama' gift set - Debenhams
If you're buying for someone that you don't know all that well then I'd recommend checking out some cult beauty products. A simple black mascara is a great option because almost everyone and wears it. I've heard amazing things about the Too Faced better than sex mascara (and the perfect eyes liner, actually).

Mixed metallic set of 4 wine glasses - Oliver Bonas
Now homeware can be a tricky thing to get right so normally I'd say AVOID. But then I saw these beautiful metallic detailed wine glasses from Oliver Bonas.

I like that they are stylish and unique but not too wacky that they would only be brought out on special occasions. They would definitely make a stand-out present and they are very useful to boot, especially during the festive season when the wine is flowing. Chin chin.
